The Academic Success Program

For over 100 years, The Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club has promoted learning and set a high value on education and academic success. The Academic Success Program is comprised of multiple components that address improving student performance and school engagement, developing an enjoyment for learning and organizational skills for completing schoolwork and planning for a successful future.

Programs at Frank Callen

  • Power Hour:

  • Homework coaching, organizing and effective completion
  • Reading comprehension and speed
  • Study skills

  • IXL Learning:

  • IXL is online learning designed to help kids in grades K-12 reach their academic potential.  Interactive questions covering math, language arts, science, social studies, and Spanish provides unlimited practice for students to improve their skills and advance their learning.

  • Personalized Tutoring:

  • Individualized tutoring for students based on communication with their teachers and current performance. Our goal is to support each student to stay on grade level with their skills and achievements
